I have been drawing and painting since I was a child in Brooklyn, New York. Although I grew up in the city, whenever the opportunity to be outdoors in a park, at a farm or by the sea, I tingled with enjoyment. I began noticing birds and flowers and bugs and animals when I was very young, and perhaps because I was a city kid, surrounded by concrete and tall buildings, those small and intimate glimpses of nature, influenced the way I “see” the natural world. I consider my paintings and drawings as intimate portraits of nature.
I sincerely hope you enjoy the intimate portraits I present to you, and that you, too, will take notice of our planet’s small blessings. Each print has an essay on the back describing the natural history of the subject, or recounting a personal experience with the subject.
I paint exclusively on Fabriano Artistico watercolor paper using Daniel Smith watercolor paints. All prints in this show are made from the original painting. They are produced on Canson 100% Rag archival, fine art paper, one at a time. I have had the prints professionally matted with 8-ply archival mat board. The black, wood, frame size is 11″ x 14″.
The glass is standard picture glass.
Each print costs $65.00 plus $12.00 for shipping and handling. Head to the Shop Page if you wish to purchase or order a framed print.
PLEASE BE KIND TO YOUR PRINT BY NOT HANGING IT IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT.
